The product

What is Alea Baselayer made of?

10% cashmere, 85% modal and 5% elastane. The cashmere provides the softness, the modal makes the fabric more durable and breathable than pure cashmere, and the elastane gives stretch and recovery.

What sizes does it come in?

Alea Baselayer is one size. The models in the photographs are sizes XS to M/L. The stretch in the fabric allows it to follow the body across that range.

Which colours are available?

Nine colours: Porcelain Sand, Taupe, Muted Blush, Berry, Dark Cocoa, Warm Caramel, Burnt Amber, Soft Lemon and Sage.

What does it cost?

DKK 349, including VAT.

Does cashmere pill?

Yes, at first. This is normal for all cashmere qualities and happens as the shorter fibres work their way out. Remove pills with a cashmere comb or a fabric shaver – never with scissors. It settles after the first few times.

Care

How do I wash it?

At a maximum of 30°C on a wool or delicate cycle, using a wool or delicate detergent. Use a wash bag and a low spin. Ordinary washing powder contains enzymes that break down cashmere fibres.

Can it go in the tumble dryer?

No. Lay the garment flat to dry on a towel, away from direct heat and sunlight. Hanging pulls it out of shape.

How often should it be washed?

Less often than you think. Cashmere naturally resists odour and dirt. Air the garment overnight between wears – it extends the time between washes and spares the fibres.

Where do you ship from, and where do you ship to?

We pack and ship every order from Denmark. We deliver to Denmark, the whole of the EU and a number of countries outside it, including the United Kingdom, Norway, Switzerland and the United States.

How long does delivery take?

Expected delivery within Denmark is typically 1–3 working days from dispatch. Shipping costs are shown at checkout.

Can I return an item?

Yes. As a consumer you have 14 days' right of withdrawal from the day you receive your order. The item must be returned in substantially the same condition. You pay the return shipping unless otherwise agreed. See the return policy for details.
